Vista Los Suenos CANOPY TOUR
The Vista Los Sueños Canopy tour, a Project designed not only as an extreme adventure, but a way to enjoy nature without harming the environment.
Want to see amazing views of the Herradura bay and Island, as well as the Nicoya Gulf? All while on a tour you can expect to view the Scarlet Macaws, Chestnut mandible Toucans and just maybe some white-face monkeys? Well, the The Vista Los Sueños Canopy tour might be the ticket for you.
The adventure starts on a 15 minute tractor ride (think hayride form hell). Once you arrive at the top of the mountain you will descend to the bottom via a series of zip lines, including 15 platforms and 14 cables with a total cable distance of 3.5 kilometers. The longest run is a grand whopping 2400 feet with top speeds that will inspire you to start taking jet fighter lessons.
The canopy tour guys are very safety oriented and are 100% bilingual.. But your in Costa Rica.. You should speak enough Spanish to get around. The guides have an emergency break system on all fast cables to keep you and your company safe. This system allows the guide to have control at all times, taking command of the cable as you hurl near the platform. So whether you’re coming in really fast, spinning uncontrollably, or had a few to many Imperials, you new best friends have got your back!
All of the equipment looks like rescue gear and is comprised of Petzl, Black Diamond, Blue Water and Sterling. You can tell that great care has been taken to insure that the equipment is up to par. The main cables are ½” and look like small chair lift cables.. We think the cables are probably safer than any deck we have ever seen a keg party on. Your personal safety gear is comprised of a commercial harness, 2 safety lines, and a brain bucket.
Before ever turning you loose on the wires, you are given the skinny on how to stay alive and happy wile trying to break a speed record. The guys go over what to do before starting on the first cable. From beginning to end, you will be attached from your personal harness to a cable at all times.
“The main idea for our canopy tour was to give our clients the adventure of their life, so we made some of the longest cable runs in the central pacific area while maintaining safety as our number one priority. Thousands of vacationing families and friends have visited our tropical canopy adventure with shrieks of laughter and big smiles… It’s a thrill of a lifetime!”

A little short bit for you.
Here’s what our team had to say:
“Let me start by saying, I am afraid of heights. The people there are very safety first (& crazy) kind of guys. I was terrified as I took my first step off the platform and the anxiety I felt at first can not compare with the exhilaration I felt as I became more confident and actually began to look around and enjoy the view. Wonderful views all the way out to the ocean from the platforms as well as a canopy teaming with jungle life. We were sad when we got to the last line and the tour was over but let me tell you, the last line is a heart stopper. There were a few great photo ops and they do take pictures of you while you are flying down the ziplines and then sell them to you at the end (very American of them).”

“Wow.. That’s a good start. The breaking system looked a little primitive at first but you get the hang of it. Not as intense as climbing but it’s a good ride none the less. The only sight seeing you will do is from the platforms, not while you’re humming down the line.”

“I was a little bit leery of doing this because I’m a bit afraid of heights too. I was surprisingly at ease because of the quality of the equipment and instruction. If you follow the instructions of your guides, you will have no problem. The views were fantastic! As an over 50 person, it was a piece of cake. When you get done, they have cold, fresh fruit waiting for you. The grounds and the facility are beautiful and immaculate.”
